Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
If you are using our app, you're agreeing to these terms. We've included a short explanation at the start of each section to make things clearer, but those explanations aren't legally binding - the full text of each section is what counts.
IMPORTANT: This is software currently in TestFlight. This is an alpha release. Things might break. Features will change. Please use at your own risk.
1. Who We Are
We're Liminal. Our company is incorporated as Zenly Ltd with company registration number 16556039 and is based in London. You can find us at 41 Pitfield Street, London, N1 6DA, UK. When we refer to ourselves in these Terms, we use "we," "us,", "Liminal" or "our."
As one of our alpha testers, you're helping us build Liminal.
You can contact us directly: fifi@liminal.cash
2. What This App Is
The app is a technology platform that provides you with a user interface to interact with blockchain technology, smart contracts, and third-party services. Liminal never holds funds. When you top-up the app, you are adding stablecoins to a self-custodial smart contract wallet which you control through our interface.
Here's what we do:
- Provide a front-end interface for you to use
- Connect you to third-party wallet services
- Connect you to third-party on/off-ramp services
- Help you interact with smart contracts and protocols on the blockchain
Here's what we don't do:
- We are not a bank or a financial institution
- We are not a money transmitter
- We do not custody your money, funds, stablecoins or other assets or cryptoassets
- We do not hold, store, or control your money, stablecoins or other assets or cryptoassets
- We do not process payments or transactions ourselves
- We do not provide financial services or financial advice
Think of us as the front door to blockchain technology: we're the interface that makes it easy to use, but the actual services are provided by others. Through us, you can provide instructions and interact with blockchain technology, decentralised applications and third party service providers.
3. Third-Party Services
Our app connects you to services provided by other companies. Each has their own terms. These include, without limitation:
- Privy: Provides wallet infrastructure services including account creation and recovery
- Bridge: Provides stablecoin on-ramp and off-ramp services for moving between fiat and stablecoins
- Blockchain networks and protocols like Morpho: The underlying technology that processes transactions
Important: These third parties have their own terms of service and privacy policies. By using our app, you're also agreeing to their terms, which set out their responsibilities for the services that they provide.
4. Your Wallet and Custody
You own your funds. We don't hold or control them. This means you're fully responsible for keeping your wallet secure.
When you create a wallet through our app:
- You're responsible for your account and wallet security and access credentials
- We cannot reverse, cancel, or refund transactions once they're on the blockchain
5. Blockchain Transactions
Transactions happen directly on the blockchain. They're permanent and irreversible.
When you send or receive stablecoins or any funds on the Liminal system:
- Transactions happen directly on the blockchain through smart contracts
- We don't process, hold, or control these transactions
- Blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible
- You're responsible for ensuring transaction details are correct
- Network fees including gas fees and currency conversion apply and are paid to the relevant blockchain network or service provider
- Transaction times depend on the blockchain network, not us
6. Stablecoin On-Ramp and Off-Ramp Services
When you convert to or from stablecoins using fiat currency:
- These services are provided by a third party service provider, not by us
- You will be required to complete a know-your-customer (KYC) process for compliance purposes, in order to use the services
- The third party service provider's terms, fees, and limits apply
- We don't control availability or transaction approval times
7. Who Can Use This App
You must be 18+ and legally allowed to use cryptocurrency in your location.
Restricted locations: We may not be available in certain countries. Check if your location is supported before using the app.
You can use this app if:
- You're at least 18 years old
- You're legally allowed to use stablecoins in your jurisdiction
- You're not on any sanctions list or restricted from using this technology
- You're not in a country where the provision of these services would otherwise be illegal
- You haven't been previously suspended or banned from the app
By agreeing to these terms, you're confirming all of the above is true.
8. Your Responsibilities
You're responsible for your account, your transactions, and following the law.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Keep your login credentials and wallet access secure
- Understand the risks of blockchain technologies
- Verify all transaction details before confirming
- Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Report any bugs or security issues to us immediately
- Not use the app for illegal activities
- Not attempt to hack, exploit, or abuse the app
- Not use the app if you're in a restricted location
9. Risks You Need to Understand
Using blockchain technology comes with risks. Make sure you understand them:
- Irreversibility: Blockchain transactions cannot be undone
- Technology risk: Smart contracts and blockchain technology can have bugs
- Network congestion: Transactions might be delayed or fail
- Regulatory risk: Stablecoin laws are still evolving and may change
- Loss of access: If you lose your credentials, your funds may be unrecoverable
By using this app, you acknowledge and accept all of these risks. As an Alpha tester, we expect you to know and already be familiar with these risks.
10. Alpha Software Disclaimer

13. Fees
Our app is currently free to use during alpha. We pass on fees from third parties. We may introduce fees in the future and will notify you in advance.
Third-party fees: If you pay any fees, these will be to:

- On/off-ramp services fees, which include a spread fee on any currency conversion
- Any other third-party services you use through our app (e.g. Anthropic's Claude for chat)
No refunds will be given for any reason.

Please be reasonable, it is literally my inbox.
21. The Bottom Line
We're building a user-friendly interface for you to use blockchain technology, smart contracts and stablecoins. We connect you to third-party services and decentralised protocols. We don't hold your money or provide financial services—we're just the technology layer that makes it all work together.
Blockchain technology has risks. Transactions are irreversible. We're not liable if things go wrong. This is alpha software, so expect bumps. Use at your own risk.
We're excited to build this with you. Thanks for being part of our alpha test.
