Our Philosophy

Liminal is built on two ideas that reinforce each other. The first is self-custody: instead of a bank holding your money and deciding what you can do with it, a self-custodial wallet gives you the keys directly, so no institution can move, freeze, or restrict your funds without your permission. The second is that AI agents can act on your behalf, not just advise, which only works once you hold your own keys.

That combination is what vibe banking is about: the same democratisation that let anyone build software by describing what they want, now happening to personal finance. An agent that can actually move money needs an account structure that lets it act safely, which is exactly what self-custody provides. The two guides below cover the infrastructure and the philosophy separately, but neither makes much sense without the other.
